Crested Butte lies at the north end of the Gunnison Valley in southwestern Colorado. It is 231 miles southwest of Denver and 28 miles from the Gunnison Crested Butte Airport. Surrounded by the Gunnison National Forest, Rocky Mountain Peaks and rolling ranchland, Crested Butte occupies a gentle valley at 8,885 feet. The town of Mt. Crested Butte is three miles north at the base of the ski resort and has an elevation of 9,350 feet.

Transportation:
Flights from key cities on major airlines get you to Gunnison easily. Continental and United Airlines frequent our valley in the winter season. In the summer, United provides service to the Gunnison Crested Butte Airport. Ground transportation by taxi, rental car and shuttle are available and affordable.

Once in Crested Butte, our no hassle, dependable shuttle service between town and Mt. Crested Butte eliminates the need for an automobile. There are three miles between the towns and shuttle pick-up points are conveniently located and clearly marked. It's the easiest way around - no parking, no driving, and you can walk out of your place in your ski boots ( or hiking boots).
